Congratulations to Elyse Witcoski on being recognized by the Latrobe Bulletin as the Independence Health System Female Athlete of the Year! Elyse excelled in volleyball, softball, and track & field during the past school year. On the softball field, she led the WPIAL with a remarkable .721 batting average and was selected to the Pennsylvania High School Softball Coaches Association Class 3A First Team All-State. In track & field, she qualified for the PIAA State Championships in the 100-meter dash while breaking Ligonier Valley school records in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes.
